We are Women, hear Us Roar!

Ladies, don't shut up and don't dumb down. Don't fall for the bullshit of having to lower yourself or silence yourself to make a man feel better about himself. A man who requires that from you is no man at all. A real man welcomes and embraces the woman in his presence who can make him run for his money, who can carry on a debate, who makes him think. A real man is not afraid of the women in his presence. He respects, honors and elevates them. He should not fear us, but look at us in awe. Because we are awesome. We are power. We are Goddess. And that goes for women too. We all need a tribe of wombmen who have our backs. Check the petty gossiping and backstabbing at the door. Especially now, when the political environment is doing everything in its power to turn women into disempowered little girls without voices, only valued for the pussy men can grab.

Our president has called breastfeeding women "disgusting." He told New York Times columnist Gail Collins she had the "face of a dog." In an attempt to publicly shame and humiliate Miss Universe 1996 Alicia Machado, he stated to Fox News that "She gained a massive amount of weight, and it was a real problem” calling her "Miss Piggy" and "Miss Housekeeping" because she is Latina. He said Fox News host Megyn Kelly had "blood coming out her wherever." There are a plethora of statements coming out of his mouth that tells us what he thinks about women. But if you read between the lines it is apparent he is afraid of us. And that is why he is trying to take away our rights, belittle us, grab our pussies, and attempt to silence us.

The person who came up with the expression ‘the weaker sex’ was either very naive or had to be kidding. And onto my next note. While I have a particular aversion to Kelly Ann Conway (to put it mildly), and acknowledge that what she did today was extremely unethical, watching her become the fall guy and example set for the Trump administration is about to get on my last nerve. Sure, stand up to the woman while tiptoeing around the man for whom she has repeatedly had to make an ass out of herself in an effort to preserve his (lack of) integrity. This certainly is consistent with putting Elizabeth Warren in her place last night for reading Coretta Scott King's letter at the Jeff Session's debate. Warren's male counterparts read the same letter and were not silenced. So, I just want to point out what is happening in the new administrative environment...not only are we seeing blatant racist cabinet members and policies coming into being, we are seeing women being treated like little girls in the 1950s. My thoughts and feelings about Conway aside, this focus on putting women in their place is simply unacceptable.

In addition to focusing on Ms. Conway's comments about buying Ivanka Trump's clothes, we should be looking at Trump who started the whole thing with his tweet:

The current outrage on Conway's comments is a simple tactic of shifting focus off of him and onto someone else. A woman. Conway or Warren...it doesn't matter when it comes to his strategy. Just as long as we don't look at him and hold him accountable for the clusterfuck he calls making America great again. Which brings me to the question: At what point in time do you think America was great? To what point in history are we returning?
