Southern Hoodoo, Rootwork, and Conjure Master Class
The course "Foundations in Southern Rootwork" has been updated to a Master class! This course explores the basic concepts and practices of Southern Rootwork, Conjure and Hoodoo through assigned readings, multimedia presentations, the exploration of the Doctrine of Signatures, the magickal associations of herbs, roots and plants, engaging in ritual activities, spiritual cleansings and much more. You will have direct access to the course instructor, Denise Alvarado, for personal feedback and questions. Mama D, as she is called by her students, was born and raised in the Hoodoo rich culture of New Orleans Louisiana and was first taught by her aunt on the Mississippi bayous. She has over fifty years of experience in hoodoo, conjure, rootwork and New Orleans Voudou. She is also a cultural anthropologist and has a graduate degree in professional psychology. The course content reflects the breadth and depth of her background. A certificate of completion is awarded to those who successfully complete the course.
