St. Corona Devotional Candle
St. Corona has emerged as the patron saint of the COVID 19 pandemic due to her name "Corona" which means crown in Latin, and the fact that coronaviruses are described for the crown-like spikes on their surface. Given her name and the fact that her relics have been housed in a basilica in the city of Anzu in Northern Italy since the 9th century, it comes as no surprise that people would turn to her during the recent pandemic. Italy has been one of the hardest hit from COVID-19; notably, Anzu is squarely at the heart of the pandemic there.
Traditionally, St. Corona is popular in Eastern European folk magic and is petitioned for matters involving money, gambling and treasure hunting. These are also good qualities to have during times of economic uncertainty.
