Within the Roman Catholic tradition, St. Joseph is the husband of Mary and earthly father of Jesus Christ, and is honored as the patron saint of families, fathers, expectant mothers (pregnant women), travelers, immigrants, house sellers and buyers, craftsmen, engineers and working people in general. He is also the unofficial patron against doubt and hesitation, as well as the patron saint of fighting communism, and of a happy death.

St. Joseph is highly venerated in New Orleans. On St. Joseph’s Day (March 19th) he is honored with lavish altars, good food, and celebration. He stands beside Black Hawk, Moses and Dr. Martin Luther King in the Spiritualist churches as a patron saint of social justice.

By far the most well-known wondrous work of Saint Joseph is his ability to assist in the sale of real estate – especially homes.

Voodoo Mama's fixed glass encased candles will burn for approximately seven days or 120 hours. They can be reused once they have burned down as vases for holding flowers, turned into a container spell to keep on your altar or refilled with wax to burn again. They are simply too beautiful to throw away and the creative conjurer will find many possibilities for using the decorative glass container once the original wax has burned down.

  • 2 1/2" Wide and 8 1/4" Tall
  • Burns approximately 120 hours
  • 100% Paraffin Wax with herbs, roots, spices and essential oils melted into the top

*For selling a home, see our St. Joseph statues.
