This magickal Bayou Swamp Ju Ju Doll is adorned with saints medals, powerful fetishes, and other magickal and protective charms and their eyes are hand stitched.

Those who were enslaved struggled to maintain and preserve their faith in the gods of their ancestors. Their forced immersion into different cultures and intermingling with people of other tribes, nations, races, and spiritual traditions resulted in a Creolized African-derived religion.
