Paper wasp nests are powerful magickal curios in Southern Conjure and Hoodoo. Not to be confused with mud dauber nests, paper wasp nests have strong defensive and protective qualities in folk magic. Ground into a powder and combined with red pepper, black pepper and sulfur, it makes a great "Go Away" powder. Added to a mojo bag, it adds protection and defense against enemies. Some old-timers use them to ensure protection for their money. On their own, they can be placed into a decorative jar or added to a curio cabinet as an interesting conversation piece and to add a bit of whimsy to your home decor.
